Hey folks, new book here and some other news.  I'm gonna be outta town for about two weeks for the holidays.  So try not to miss me too much.  Then coming this January I'll have a table at Comic-con Albuquerque over at the Hard Rock Casino.  I'll get back to you with the booth number and some prevues of some of the new stuff I'll have for sale.

SOTOBERFEST

Hey folks, couple of quick announcements concerning this weekend.  I got two a half shows this weekend, first off is the Roller Derby Championship bout happening this Saturday which you should  already be aware of.   Is happening downtown in the Convention Center my friend Dave and I will be sharing a table selling some merch, some new some old.

But what I'm really excited for is my little art show/ gallery opening I'm holding after the Derby.  I'm having it at the Pizza place that's hanging up my art this month.  It's an after party of sorts, but pretty it's just me and bunch of folks hanging out having some beers.  So stop by and check it out.

Then on Sunday, Lobo Anime & Comics will be holding it's periodic mini convention, Collector Con.  Small gymnasium and whole bunch neat comic/toy related stuff for sale.  Also me and Dave will have tables there.  So there you have it, a whole weekend of things to do.  So get crackin!

Artist Showcase

Sotoman Returns

Hey folks, yes I did survive Comic-con San Diego, but just barely.  Sorta back on the ball and starting to get real excited working again.  I got to talk and meet a lot of industry folks and small press and ended doing a lot more networking than I thought I would, also meeting Kevin Eastman pretty much made the trip.  It was a blast and I should have a good write up of everything by the time the next Now What? rolls around.  That way all those who are completely obsessed with my life can be all caught up.

Anyway, now to the Goods 

Thanks to Michel for the cleaning and for generally being awesome.  Check out more of her stuff HERE.  In other news, starting in the next issue I'm doing an artist showcase on the last page of Now What.  It's pretty much me asking everyone who draws to submit something along the lines of fan/gift art of my character Soto/me doing stuff.  I add links and contact info so folks can check out more of their art.  It's all about networking, anyway if any of you are interested in submitting something.  Just send something over to Cybersoto@gmail.com and we can go from there.

Comic-Con

Sup people?

Still here in case your wondering.  Sorry for the lack of love, I've been super busy this last month and half.  June was fucking insane and right now I'm gearing up to head out to Comic-Con San Diego, but once things calm down I should be back on schedule.  It was awesome meeting some of my Now What fans at ACE and I should have more news about my project with Zak very soon.  So for now here's May's Now What and a little promise that everything is gonna be alright.  So let's hope that San Diego is as classy as I heard it to be and here's to you ABQ.

A-kon 2011

In case you haven't heard by now, I am attending A-kon 22 this year.  Just look for a giant banner with a big orange tentacle monster and reading Soto on it.  In the mean time here's the April's Now What?

Also, the 4th volume of Now What? will also be on sale for the first time at A-kon.  And I'm doing a special deal where if you buy all four of the 2010 year books you get a free commission.  Hope to see ya there.

Fucking Late

Sorry I'm a little late on the uptake here but I completely forgot to post March's Now What

So grab one before they get gone.  Only 5 bucks!  Now I know your use to getting these for free, but hey it's got a bunch of other neat stuff in there you can't get anywhere else and I got mouths to feed.

Open for Commissions

Hello Everyone in internet land.  Soto here and I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm currently open for commissions.  General prices goes as followed:
Single Character:
$5 for pencil sketch
$10 for inked
$20 for full color
$5 more each additional character

I'm in need of some financial help for the upcoming convention season so anything will help.  I'm usually down to draw anything, so nothing is taboo, even weird sex stuff.  So if your interested, drop me a line and maybe we can work something out.  I accept paypal and check so don't be shy, bring it on.
